Unter dem Begriff Ökomorphologie versteht man die strukturelle Ausprägung in den Fliessgewässern und deren Uferbereichen.
Die Ökomorphologie beschreibt die Gestaltung des Lebensraums Bach. Eine ökomorphologische Beurteilung bewertet das Gewässer als Lebensraum für eine Vielzahl von Tieren und Pflanzen.
