Description
All spatial data is based on measurement points. It is recommended to use the so-called fixed control points for all technical works which need reliable and accurate position measurements. A height fixed control point ("Höhefixpunkte" in german) is a surveyed point permanently marked with a bolt with known height. The Swiss national land survey is responsible for height fixed control points of the first class (HFP1). Those provide the reference framework for all survey work in Switzerland. HFP1 points usual elevation LN02 have been established by precise federal levelling.
